This event will be a weekend graded event run on Saturday the 18th and Sunday 19th May 2024
A Grade – Players in a county Premier or 1st Division League Team (Squash Levels: 4800 - 11999)
B Grade – Players in a County League 2nd or 3rd Division League Team (Squash Levels: 2500 - 4799)
C Grade – Players in a County League 4th or 5th or Lower Division League Team (Squash Levels: 1200 - 2499)
D Grade – Non-Team Players who play recreationally or in a Club internal League (Squash Levels: 300 - 1199)
E Grade – Players who are beginners and are fairly new to the game (Squash Levels: 0 - 299)
• Trophies will be awarded to all grade and plate winners and finalists.
• Entry fee of UK and non Netherlands based players is £60.00 and is payable by either bank transfer or online via credit/debit card. Please note that entry fees must be paid in advance in order to secure your place in the category that you have entered.

• Entry Fee includes The Amsterdam Classic 2024 tournament t-shirt.
• All players are guaranteed a minimum of four matches as the event will be run using a monrad format over the 2 days.
• All matches will be Best of 3, PAR 11 Scoring (2 clear at 10-10)
• All matches results will be logged onto League Master and imported into Squash Levels

• Players arrive in Amsterdam, tournament introduction and a session of fun doubles in the evening followed by dinner and drinks (nothing too crazy!!).
• 10am to 7pm - Tournament starts with the first few rounds of the A to E Grades taking place (Monrad or Group Format for all grades). Everyone will have two or three matches on the Saturday. This is followed by dinner at the club and a night out in Amsterdam.
• 10am to 6pm - Tournament final rounds for all grades, followed by trophy presentation, dinner and drinks.
• Players fly/Eurostar back home (hungover, once again questioning their life choices and wondering why they didn't learn from the Brussels event!
The following hotels below have been recommended and all are close to the city centre and the tournament venue:
Ibis Schiphol Amsterdam Airport offers a free shuttle service to and from Schiphol Airport. It features free fitness, a 24-hour Take Away and an extensive breakfast is served from 04:00 until 12:00 and dinner from 18:00 until 22:00 at our International Open Buffet.
The modern rooms at Ibis Airport come equipped with flat-screen TVs with satellite channels. They have a private bathroom with free soap and shampoo products.
The hotel houses several food and beverage outlets : an American Burger Bar, an international open buffet, a Grand Café/Bar and a Take Away 24/7 store for your convenience.
Situated in Amsterdam and with Vondelpark reachable within 2.7 km, Olympic Hotel features express check-in and check-out, non-smoking rooms, a garden, free WiFi and a bar. Boasting a 24-hour front desk, this property also has a restaurant and a terrace. The accommodation offers a shared lounge, a concierge service and ticket service for guests.
The rooms are fitted with air conditioning, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a fridge, a kettle, a shower, a hairdryer and a desk. At the hotel rooms are fitted with a wardrobe and a private bathroom.
Best Western Amsterdam is located in Amsterdam West district, just off the A10 city ring and 20 minutes' by public transport from the old city centre. It features a private parking space, 24-hours reception, bar and terrace.
Rooms at Best Western Amsterdam have en suite bathrooms with a shower, toilet and free toiletries. Other amenities include television, safe and work desk.
An international breakfast buffet is served in the restaurant every morning. Our restaurant has limited opening times in the evening.
The in-house bar features a lounge area with TVs. It offers several snacks and a wide variety of beverages. During summer guests can enjoy a drink at the terrace.
The Park Plaza Amsterdam Airport is strategically located close to the A9, a 10-minute drive from Schiphol Airport and Amsterdam centre. There is a tram stop with direct connections to Amsterdam's city centre only a 10-minute walk away. This hotel benefits from free Wi-Fi in the public areas and free HiSpeed internet access in the rooms.
Please note that the airport shuttle service to and from Schiphol Airport is available from 4:45 to midnight and runs every half hour. As per 1st of October, please be advised that a €5 ticket is required for the shuttle for return journeys from the hotel back to the airport. Shuttle tickets can be purchased at the hotel Reception. Kids under 12 ride for free.
The hotel offers comfortable rooms, a stylish bar, restaurant, a games room with several billiards tables and access to gym.
